THE WRITE NOTE

Your Music. Your Voice. Your Next Chapter.

More than a programme. A creative journey.

Have you ever imagined hearing your own song come to life with a professional live band?

Working alongside internationally acclaimed mentors from CPM Music Institute (Milan), including vocal coaches and music professionals from X Factor Italia, Area Sanremo and the Sanremo Festival?

Learning from musicians, producers and conductors behind some of the Muzika Muzika finalists, major theatre productions and some of Malta's biggest concerts and festivals?

Recording alongside producers and recording engineers who have worked with many of Malta's leading artists as well as international performers?

Being inspired by industry professionals whose experience continues to shape the next generation of artists?

The Write Note is your opportunity to do exactly that.

Founded in Malta by Isabella Turso and Stefania Grech Vella, The Write Note is an exclusive seven-day artist development residency created for emerging singer-songwriters who are ready to transform original ideas into unforgettable songs.

Here, you'll develop your songwriting, strengthen your artistic identity, collaborate with exceptional musicians and gain the confidence to share your music with the world.

From the moment you're accepted, your journey begins. You'll create a brand-new original song, receive personalised guidance from internationally acclaimed mentors, record your music in a professional studio and perform your work with a professional live band during a fully produced public showcase.

This isn't simply about writing songs.

It's about discovering your voice.

CONNECT

The Write Note isn't just about mentors.

It's about community.

Throughout the week you'll collaborate with fellow singer-songwriters, musicians, producers, recording engineers and music industry professionals who share your passion for original music.

Many of these creative relationships continue long after the residency has ended.

WHY THE WRITE NOTE?

Only 10 participants are selected each year.

That means every artist receives genuine one-to-one mentoring in an environment built around creativity, collaboration and artistic growth.

Most importantly...

Your music remains entirely your own.

The mentors won't write your songs.

They'll challenge your ideas, offer professional guidance and help you uncover the strongest version of your artistic vision while remaining true to your own voice.

ARTIST DEVELOPMENT AWARDS

The Write Note doesn't end when the residency finishes.

Outstanding participants will have the opportunity to continue their artistic journey through a number of exclusive Artist Development Awards.

International Performance Award

One participant will be invited to perform their original song at Crea Music Week at CPM Music Institute, Milan.

The award includes return flights for the participant and one accompanist, providing the opportunity to represent Malta before an international audience of musicians, educators and industry professionals.

Bluebelldisc Music Single Release Award

One outstanding participant will receive the opportunity to officially release their original song through Bluebelldisc Music, one of Italy's longest-established independent record labels.

Founded in Milan in 1959, Bluebelldisc has played an important role in Italian music history while continuing to discover and support exciting new talent. This award offers an emerging songwriter the opportunity to take the next step towards a professional release.

The Palace String Orchestra Performance Award

One selected participant will be invited to collaborate with The Palace String Orchestra during a future concert season.

Depending on the artistic programme, the artist may perform as a guest soloist, opening act or pre-show performer, introducing their original music to new audiences alongside one of Malta's leading professional orchestras.
